M&A – Cyprus concessions

Background

Transaction management and post merger integration in the Multipurpose and Marine service concessions from the privatization of the port of Limassol (Cyprus).

Scope of works covered:

Bid and end-to-end transaction management (3 bids/ 2 awards)
Negotiation of concession and transition agreements with Cypriot authorities
Project financing for capital expenditure
Project roadshow to potential sub-concessionaries (Oil & Gas Supply Base operators)
Management of Transition Plan (phase I), including initial integration budget

Outcomes:

In the first four years of its 25-year concession agreement, the concessionaire has served more than 250 cruise ships c. 400k pax. As to cargo commercial activity, the business has profitably handled over 3,500 vessels and c. 3m tonnes.
